Phan Thiet

Phan Thiết is a coastal region of Southeast Vietnam and capital of Bình Thuận Province. At its center is a bustling little fishing port with a harbor full of colorful boats, vibrant outdoor markets and landmarks including the circa-1762 Van Thuy Tu Temple, honoring whales and housing some 100 skeletons of the locally revered sea creatures.

Accommodation in Phan Thiet

The resort town of Phan Thiet is a popular last chill-out spot on a Vietnam trip, and this is a choice place to relax. Even the entry-level rooms are more like suites, with rain showers and huge tubs. Cobbled paths wind through exotic gardens and modern photographic artworks adorn the walls.

High end bungalows made with terracotta and bamboo make for a mix of modern and traditional Vietnamese. Private balconies look out over the pool area, and the restaurant is a wonderful, colonial affair. The ocean, and a wealth of water sports, is only a minute or two away.
