It’s hard to believe that this is a city, let alone a capital, such is the relaxed, slow-paced atmosphere of the place. Wander about to see Buddhist temples and some charming markets, before an afternoon stroll along the banks of the Mekong River. Just don’t make any plans that are urgent.

One of the better boutique hotels in the capital, the 14 rooms promote an exclusive, intimate setting. Just a short walk from the banks of the Mekong River, the neighbourhood is a peaceful one, and though the hotel is a relatively small property, its three restaurants are locally renowned.
