Just two rooms and two suites means staying at this self-proclaimed ‘house of wonders’ is an intimate affair. Local antiques and period touches give the place an elegant atmosphere, and there are myriad places to relax, from the sunny courtyard to the rooftop terrace. Outside, you will find the heart of Lamu town.
This former trading town has been a center for commerce since the 2nd Century, and is now a rather well kept secret. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is the oldest town on Kenya, and you can use it as a base to explore the nearby countryside, or sail in a traditional dhow.
