The Camp is operational from 15 June to 30 September each year. This is the perfect time to visit Ladakh. Temperatures by day our between 68 to 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C) by day with sunshine. A sweater is recommended for night time, though there are charming fleece ponchos in the tents to keep you warm.
Whilst there, choose from monastery visits (early morning prayers with the monks of Thiksey Monastery are a particularly wonderful experience), cultural tours, polo, rafting, trekking, croquet, bird watching and even archery.
Children are welcome, and popular activities for children include:

Take a few days to acclimatize to the altitude before your hike or trek a cross the state of Sikkim.
Ladakh is to the west of the Himalayas, and is another world, with extraordinary landscapes and a strong Buddhist heritage, similar,but arguably even more dramatic than, Tibet. Best explored from June to September.
