Ellerman House is on the Atlantic Seaboard’s Kloof Road; with its elevated position overlooking Bantry Bay and the ocean, this is classic Cape Riviera with views that will delight.
There are no restaurants or beaches within walking distance. However, you are a 10 minute-drive to the city centre and Waterfront; five to 10 minutes to the beach, and the hotel offers a regular shuttle service.
Every room has its own individual character but all share a lived-in yet low-key glamour, with every modern convenience. Service is absolutely spot on; they have an uncanny ability to sense where you are, without being overbearing.
The property is not family friendly, unless hired as a whole.
Framed by mountains and set around water, Cape Town is stunning. The most famous spots include the sparkling V&A Waterfront, with its hotels, restaurants and shops. The other celebrity is Table Mountain, which looms peacefully over the city and which you can ascend via cable car. See also the Robben Island Museum, dedicated to Nelson Mandela.
