The Grand Hotel Portovenere is located on the most panoramic point of Portovenere, overlooking the sea and the island of Palmaria. In the XVI century it was home to a monastery, a Franciscan convent and it was transformed in a hotel in 1970. After a careful renovation, with a special attention to maintaining the original architectural features yet revisiting them in a contemporary way to provide you with maximum comfort, the Grand Hotel Portovenere has reopened its doors with its new designed understated elegance.
It has 47 rooms featuring breathtaking views over Portovenere and the island of Palmaria, Each room, beautifully appointed, captures the peacefulness of the region, reflecting the naturals colors of the surrounding landscape through a modern and sophisticated design. It showcases the unique and ancient history of the building.

The UNESCO World Heritage listed Cinque Terre comprises five villages where, over the centuries, people have hewn terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea.
