The name translates as ‘ebony’, and this upscale camp lies on the banks of the Luangwa River. It comprises just five designer tents, all with plush private terraces and decorous Victorian-style baths. The expert guides offer a range of excellent walking and four-wheel drive safaris.
This National Park, as the name suggests, is the southernmost of the country’s parks, lying in the valley of the Luangwa River. Covered in woodlands and savannahs, the park is most famous for its predators, as well as giraffe, hippo and zebra.
