Muang La Lodge

There are 10 rooms in small, wooden, traditionally built villas: local wood treated with perfumed essential oils, white walls, polished parquet floors and furniture from the 1930’s reproduced by the local craftsmen.

The decor of the hotel and rooms includes unique works of art from Lao artists, both painted and sculpted. All the fabrics are locally produced and are a homage to the colorful cultures of Laos and the ethnic communities of the region.

Yoghurts, bread, jams, smoked duck breast, sausages are all locally made. All meals are prepared using fresh produce, grown on the fertile land around the Lodge. Salt is extracted from the Nam Pak River.

Well positioned along the river, this creates spaces for recreation and meditation, and finish up with a traditional hot bath!

Public baths using water from ancient thermal spring are located at the foot of the Lodge. The water is piped from the spring into the renovated bath which is accessible to the villagers who believe in the many virtues of the 50° water.
