Mwamba Bush Camp
Mwamba Camp is located in the northern sector of South Luangwa national park in Zambia. Set away from the river, this very simple three room camp acts as a satellite to the more permanent Kaingo Camp, with guests often walking between the two. Although open to all, safari here is primarily aimed at serious wildlife photographers.
The camp itself comprises a very simple open mess and just three traditionally thatched guest rooms with large outdoor bathrooms. Mwamba Camp is an authentic and intimate camp, one of our favorites in the valley. It is open during the dry season from June to October.
This National Park, as the name suggests, is the southernmost of the country’s parks, lying in the valley of the Luangwa River. Covered in woodlands and savannahs, the park is most famous for its predators, as well as giraffe, hippo and zebra.
