Every Hands Up Holidays journey starts the same way — with a conversation. Tell us a little about your family and what you’re dreaming of, and we’ll take it from there.

We’ve kept the form below intentionally short. We don’t need to know your interests in archaeology, scuba diving, or chocolate-making just yet — that’s what our first conversation is for.
What we’d love to know is the essentials: who’s traveling, roughly when, and where your imagination is taking you. From there, Christopher or one of our family travel designers will be in touch personally — usually within 24 hours — to start the real planning.

Step 1 — We read your enquiry carefully Not a bot, not a template response. Our founder, Christopher Hill, reads what you’ve sent and thinks about what would actually work for your family.
Step 2 — We’re in touch within one business day Usually sooner. We’ll reach out by email first, and suggest a call if it’s easier to talk through the details.
Step 3 — We design something around you We’ll put together an initial trip concept — destinations, a give-back project match, accommodation style — based on what you’ve told us. No generic itineraries.
Step 4 — You decide, with no pressure We’ll send a clear, all-in quote. If it’s right, great. If you want to adjust it, we iterate. If the timing isn’t right, we’ll be here when it is.
Chris is detailed, thorough, and really does his research. The outcome is a trip that is nearly flawless, meaningful, and comfortable.”

I read every enquiry that comes through this page personally. If your family is curious about what a meaningful luxury trip could look like — even if you’re just exploring — please get in touch. There’s no obligation, and no question is too early.”
— Christopher Hill, Founder
Most family trips with us fall somewhere between US$5,000 and US$20,000+ per person, depending on destination, duration, accommodation tier, and whether you’re flying business class or economy. The volunteer element — which is built into the trip, not charged on top — doesn’t meaningfully affect the overall cost. What does affect it is how far you’re going, how long you’re staying, and how you like to travel.
We’ll give you a clear quote once we understand what you’re looking for. There’s no pressure and no obligation — just an honest conversation about what’s possible within your budget.
For most destinations, we’d suggest getting in touch at least three to six months before you want to travel. Some of our most popular trips — particularly those combining safari-style experiences with volunteer work, or anything over the December–January school holiday period — need longer lead time to secure the right accommodation and volunteer placement.
That said, if you have something more imminent in mind, it’s always worth reaching out. We know what’s available and we’ll tell you honestly what we can pull together.
Yes — and this is genuinely one of the things we think hardest about. Children from around age five can take part in wildlife conservation projects (monitoring, feeding, habitat work), which are active, hands-on, and genuinely memorable. Projects involving building, construction, or community renovation work are better suited to children aged ten and up, when they can contribute meaningfully rather than just observe.
When you get in touch, tell us your children’s ages and we’ll match you with the right project and destination combination. Everything we suggest has been selected specifically because it works well for families.
