Known as the ‘Land of a Thousand Hills’, Rwanda is welcoming to travellers. There’s breath-taking scenery, from the Nyungwe Forest to Lake Kivu, and of course tracking the magnificent mountain gorillas is a highlight. Moreover, golden monkeys and chimpanzees are to be seen as well. Make your stay memorable and fulfilling by helping build a home for street children, or help with their education.

How to help in Rwanda
Play a part in rescuing children from the streets of Kigali. You can help fund and build a home for street-kids.
Teaching in Kigali
Help educate Rwandan youth in Kigali. Education is key to a positive future and you can help provide it.
If you spend 3-5 days helping here, your daily schedule can fit several ways: you can spend part of the day teaching and the other part as a combination of participating in clubs with the street kids on the projects (presently housed in rented accommodation or reintegrated and looked after by guardians/parents/relatives), visiting genocide survivors groups, and craft making groups formed by genocide survivors.
Note – this is a popular example of how you can help in this region, and we delight in crafting trips to your exact preferences.
