Eco-luxury accommodation abounds, and you can make a difference in many ways, from helping at a dog shelter to turtle conservation to building a home for a family.
Sri Lankan Highlights
Sri Lanka packs in an enormous amount of variety; some of our favorites are the tea plantations, charming Galle Fort, Blue Whale spotting, leopard spotting in Yala National Park, the elephant gathering in Minneriya, hiking to Sigiriya fortress, and the beaches around Tangalle.
Sri Lankan Eco-Luxury
Sri Lanka has made great strides recently in sustainable luxury travel, with several new openings that are top notch, such as Wild Coast, Tri, The Ark, Mahoora Mobile Camps, and the rustic Mud House.
Make a Difference
Sri Lanka has something for every desire to help on a luxury volunteer vacation. Ravaged by the 2005 tsunami, villages are still living in the aftermath, and we work with one in particular where you can help build homes, provide medical care, or participate in women’s empowerment programs. Elsewhere, you can get involved in sea turtle conservation or help stray dogs get ready for adoption.

How to help in Sri Lanka
Get immersed in a rural life in a village that was devastated by tsunami – you can help provide a family with a sound place to call home, participate in a women’s empowerment project, help with environmental conservation, or if you have medical or dental skills you can put these to great use. Animal lovers can assist with sea turtles and caring for dogs awaiting rehousing.
Build a Home in a Rural Village
Working alongside local expert builders who will supervise you and handle all the tricky parts, leaving you with the easy fun stuff.
Your children can get involved to the level of their ability, and also appreciate how fortunate they are by gaining meaningful insights into local life.
