Teach in Rwanda

Help educate Rwandan youth in Kigali. Education is key to a positive future and you can help provide it.

About this project

You can help as a reading partner or a teaching assistant in a school in Kigali.

If you spend 3-5 days helping here, your daily schedule can fit several ways: you can spend part of the day teaching and the other part as a combination of participating in clubs with the street kids on the projects (presently housed in rented accommodation or reintegrated and looked after by guardians/parents/relatives), visiting genocide survivors groups, and craft making groups formed by genocide survivors.

Main volunteering activities when you teach in Rwanda:
  • Teaching English, maths, health, life skills
  • Being a reading partner to improve confidence and literacy

  • Volunteering work typically lasts for 3-5 days
  • Involves approx. 6 hours of helping each day
