This charity is a partner to the UNEP/Mediterranean Action Plan, and a member of the European Union for the Conservation of the Coasts (EUCC).
It works to mitigate and reverse population reduction of sea turtles.
Main volunteering activities:
- Monitior and protect sea turtles and their nests
- Protect hatchlings from light pollution so they find their way to the sea
- Identify and rescue injured/sick turtles

- It involves helping throughout the day, and at night during hatching season
- April to October is the season
- This volunteering project blends well with activities in Crete or Zakynthos, such as hiking and beach relaxation
Impact to Date:
- Approximately 50 miles of beaches are monitored each year
- Over 2,500 nests are protected against predation, human threats, and sea inundation each year
- Approximately 300 sea turtles are tagged each year to monitor their movements at sea
- Over 50 injured turtles are treated each year, and released where feasible

- Day 1: Arrive Athens, stay at Coco-Mat
- Day 2 Mythology themed tour of Athens and heritage walking tour. In late afternoon, fly to Santorini, stay at Native Eco-Villas. Enjoy the sunset in Oia (B,L)
- Day 3: Discover Santorini and in the afternoon enjoy a 5 hour private sunset cruise with swimming and snorkelling, hot springs, and sail past the volcano (B,L)
- Day 4: Take the ferry to Crete. Walking tour of Chania town, revealing Chania’s status as a cultural crossroads. Stay at Metohi Kindelis (B,L)
